Overview of ERP Software Provensys
A completely newly developed ERP system on a state-of-the-art basis.
After having developed various software modules, such as address management, online shopping with warehouse management and ZIP radius search, for some enterprises in the fields of plant construction, series production and service, we took pleasure in the idea of developing, with the support of some customers, a complete ERP system based on .NET in C#. What once seemed to be just a crazy idea, has now ripened into a highly interesting software with great prospects for the future.
Our software has been based on the following aims:
- Implementation of the business principles developed by Erich Gutenberg:
division of the elementary factors into work performance, production facilities and materials
- Systematic pooling of similar data and equal treatment of comparable elements (e.g. consolidation of customer data and supplier data to avoid double data acquisition)
- Integration of all company data into one system and opening towards other systems via web services (to prevent data islands)
- Recording of business processes in the sense of ISO 9000 et seq.
- Barcode-capable and RFID-capable production tracking and product tracking
- Automatic recording of all (customer) contacts (e-mail, correspondence, telephone etc.)
- Integrated formula system similar to the system used in spreadsheets such as Excel®
- Freely definable features and variants
- Consistent adherence to values and units (e.g. in the fields of features and prices)
- This made possible an integrated conversion of all values and the utilization of these values in the formulas
- Variable piece lists are possible by means of a formula („if .. then .. else“)
- Price lists include optional price list variables (e.g. prices of raw materials) which can be used in the formulas
- Graphic production planning by means of network planning technique (GANTT)
- Permanent cost control due to barcode-based or RFID-based online acquisition of working hours, material and machine employment
- Clearly laid out evaluations with fold-out subdivisions
- Three-tier architecture with web services interfaces for the integration into third party provider software
