Additional Modules

By means of additional modules, the individual base systems can be extended for almost every purpose. All modules are in-house developments and can be adjusted and extended without any problems.

Of course each functionality can be developed as an individual module and integrated into the Content Management System.

Overview of available modules

Newsletter

• Newsletter Front-end
  Newsletter Front-end on the webpage with the opportunity to get registered in the newsletter (double-opt-in), administration facility for newsletter users by entering a registered e-mail address (newsletter type, cancel subscription, etc.)
• Newsletter Backend
  Categorized e-mail addresses (recipients), import of e-mail addresses via CSV or XML, export of e-mail addresses via CSV or XML, optionally HTML or text-based newsletter, creation of the newsletter with online HTML editor (WYSISWYG), automated e-mail delivery (packaged)
• Newsletter YIELD Management
  Depending on the YIELD Management for offers, selected newsletters are automatically sent to recipients defined by categories

Guestbook, Board, eCards

• Guestbook
  Publication of all guestbook entries, creation of new entries via form (not active at present), activation of the new entry by using the administration tool, spam protection using captcha images, possibility to delete/inactivate entries using the administration tool
• Board
  In-house developed discussion board. Each article can be marked as secure (for registered members) or public (for non-registered users). The administrator can edit all (secure and public) entries
• eCards
  System for managing (create/modify/delete) eCards. Possibility to manage one image and one text for each eCard. Easy-to-handle user front-end for the delivery of eCards by the users
• Addional module smilies
  Insertion of smilies in the text input field (e.g. guestbook), predefined theme-related smilies

Image Gallery

• Image Gallery
  Create/modify/delete categories, create/modify/delete galleries (categorizable), overview of all images in the gallery, zoom view of single images, create/modify/delete images, automated resizing and optimization of images, text input (caption) for each image
• Image Rating System
  Possibility to rate images according to school grade system, rating can be deleted in the management area, ratings only for registered or anonymous users (depends on configuration), presentation of top images (images with best rating)
• Comment System
  User can write comments on images
• Lighbox
  Lightbox integration for user-friendly zoom of images without pop-ups (no problems with pop-up blockers)

Webcam

• Webcam Front-end
  Presentation of uploaded webcam images, freely configurable updating intervals, load monitoring during the presentation of images, images are uploaded in the background. If the requested image is not uploaded completely, the last fully uploaded image is displayed
• Webcam Back-end
  Software to upload images in freely configurable intervals

Panorama

• Spherical panorama
  Easy-to-manage integration of a 360° spherical panorama. Java or Flash version available. Spherical panoramas can be created by our business partner

Approach

• Route Planner (interface to Google Maps)
  With a click on the menu item “Route planner” a landing page is opened where the user can enter his start address. After entering the address, the route planner with start and destination address is opened and the route is calculated by Google Maps
• Railway Information (interface to bahn.de)
  Upon clicking on the menu item “Railway Information”, the user can enter his departure station and his departure date/time. The destination station can be filled in automatically by the system or entered manually by the user. After a click on “Request Road Map”, the railway information of bahn.de is opened with the data entered by the user, and the user can request his personal road map and order tickets

Weather

• Daily forecast
  A user-defined advertising-free weather button can be displayed automatically on each page. It shows the weather data of a city/region provided by wetter.com. According to the provided city data, for example on page A the weather data of city A can be displayed, likewise the data of city B can be displayed on page B
• Three-Day Forecast
  With optimized layout (icons) on a separate weather page within the website fed by the weather data stored in the Content Management System database. The presentation of the weather data takes place within the website layout
• Data Sychronization (interface to wetter.com)
  The XML file with forecast data for the next three days provided daily by wetter.com is loaded from the wetter.com server every day and integrated automatically into the weather database within the Content Management System

Log-in / Protected Areas

• Log-in System
  Password protection for each page, create/modify/delete users, create/modify/delete user groups, assignment of pages to user groups, registration of users in the webpage, lost password function
• Log-in system (code extension)
  The log-in system is extended with an individual code for each user. Log-in and registration in the homepage is only possible after entering the code. You can generate the codes with the help of a code generator and, for example, give them to visitors of an event. With this system the access to protected image galleries or the comment function can be limited to visitors of an event. (No log-in or registration for the access is possible – only visitors to the event have the necessary codes.)

  Generation of change log files
• Automated Notification
  Up-to-date summary of the changes of the last day (classified under clients and modules), dispatch to freely definable e-mail addresses (e.g,. daily at 8 o’clock)
• Tracking System
  Storage of all search terms entered in internal search, search terms entered in google, available user data, pages visited by the user on the website

Online Booking

• Booking System Input
  Input of offers, input of time spans (seasons), input of rooms and room types, input of supply types, input of additional services (wellness services etc.), input of plausibilities (max. number of persons per room, age of persons), pre-selection of bookable offers
• Booking System Output
  Adjustment of the booking system to the CI of the webpages, assistant-supported booking (selection of time spans, rooms, persons, etc), checking of data by defined plausibilities, error messages and correction suggestions if required, print-optimized output of all entered data, dispatch of reservations by e-mail, dispatch of confirmation e-mails
• Booking System Plausibility
  Possibility of granting discounts for bookings/payment within a defined time span before arrival, possibility of granting early booking discount for bookings before X days (e.g. 60 days) of arrival, short-term bookings only possible with credit card payment (e.g. 7 days before arrival)
• Copy and Paste data transfer from internet bookings
  Data of the internet booking is edited to assimilate the display fields to the fields in the hotel management software as far as possible and to permit an easy copy-and-paste data transfer into the hotel system
• Administration of Room Contingents
  For each room category, you can define a contingent (number of rooms) bookable over the internet. If the contingent is full, the system automatically notifies the user that the respective room is not available within the desired time span
• Credit Card Payment
  Integration of a payment system of a certified partner company. Integration of the software of the certified provider into the newCOMer booking system
• YIELD Management
  Discount calculation for all listed rooms. Complex functions depending on demand for and availability of the rooms, and time span until arrival date. By means of this function, the current prices are calculated. The functions works automatically without user intervention

Miscellaneous modules

• Link Directory
  Overview of all links. One image/logo for each link, create/modify/delete links, upload one image/logo per link
• Brochure Ordering/Download
  Form to order brochures by ordinary mail. Download of brochures as pdf. Administration of downloadable brochures (in the password-protected administration area)
• Skins
  Different skins (integrated by newCOMer), create/modify/delete seasons, assignment of layouts to seasons, automated change of page layouts in dependance on the season
• Quotation System
  Administration of quotations (create/modify/change), add one image to each quotation, select quotations to be displayed on defined pages, or random display of quotations (without intervention of the user or the editor)
• RSS Integration
  Integration of an external RSS newsfeed (RSS 2.0)
• ZIP Radius Search
  Search of ZIP codes within a definable radius, implementation of the ZIP data, search forms (ZIP, radius), result pages (list of found addresses sortable by name, ZIP and radius)

  Freely administrable news ticker
• Press releases
  Administration of press releases, 2-level categorization, output in the Content Management System
• Event calendar
  Freely categorizable event calendar (2-level), automated categorization (e.g. years, months, etc.), create/modify/delete events (also recurring ones), heading (name of event, dates of event), description (Word-like editor), 3 images per event, optional: simple online registration using a web form, optional: automated completion of the registration form with the data of the event (e.g. dates) and plausibility check.

  Automated generation of a google sitemap file consisting of all website contents
• Google Analytics
  Integration of google analytics. Short training for using the statistics system

  Automated generation of own RSS news feeds consisting of the news texts entered in the webpage
• Job Offers
  Administration and presentation of vacant jobs in the Content Management System (2-level categories)
